1. Who controls your data
Theresa Vasquez, trading as WeldWords, is the data controller for personal data processed through WeldWords. This means Theresa Vasquez decides how and why that information is used.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: name, email address, login credentials, subscription status, and account identifiers.
- Design content: text, fonts, images, prompts, vector files, project settings, and edits you submit or save.
- Usage and technical information: features used, export counts, browser and device details, IP address, timestamps, diagnostics, and security events.
- Communications: questions, feedback, support messages, and related correspondence.
Paddle separately collects and handles payment information as Merchant of Record. We do not need to receive your full card details.
3. Why we use information
- To create accounts, provide design and export features, save settings, and perform our contract with you.
- To manage access, subscriptions, free usage, and customer support.
- To secure the service, prevent fraud and abuse, diagnose errors, and protect legal rights based on our legitimate interests and legal obligations.
- To understand and improve WeldWords based on our legitimate interests.
- To send optional marketing communications when you consent; you may withdraw consent at any time.
4. Who receives information
We may share only what is reasonably necessary with:
- Hosting, authentication, storage, analytics, AI processing, security, and support providers that help operate WeldWords.
- Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for purchases, subscriptions, payment support, tax compliance, invoicing, cancellations, and refunds.
- Professional advisers such as legal and accounting providers.
- Courts, regulators, law enforcement, or other authorities where disclosure is legally required.
We do not sell personal data.
5. Retention
We keep account and service information while your account is active and as reasonably needed to provide WeldWords. After an account closes, we delete or anonymize data when it is no longer needed, subject to legal, tax, fraud-prevention, dispute, and backup-retention requirements.
6. Security
We use appropriate technical and organizational safeguards, including access controls, encrypted connections, and limited administrative access. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so you should also protect your password and devices.
7. Cookies and local storage
WeldWords uses essential cookies or browser storage for sign-in, security, preferences, saved work, tutorial progress, and payment flow. We may use limited analytics to understand service performance. Where consent is legally required for non-essential analytics or marketing technologies, we will request it before using them. You can control cookies through your browser, although blocking essential storage may prevent parts of WeldWords from working.
8. International processing
Some service providers may process information outside your state or country. Where required, transfers are protected by recognized safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of your data; object to certain processing; withdraw consent; and complain to a privacy regulator. Submit a request through the support channel available in WeldWords. We may need to verify your identity and will respond within the period required by applicable law.
